What do a Greek legend, a Spanish folk tale, and a Polish tradition have in common? They are all part of the rich cultural tapestry that connects Europe!
Stories, customs, and legends passed down through generations are an essential part of Europe’s cultural heritage. While rooted in local communities, many of these traditions reveal shared values, experiences, and connections that unite us across borders.
Through the EUfolk Erasmus+ Project, we are preserving and promoting this rich folk culture by recording and sharing stories, customs, and legends from older generations. By documenting these traditions, we help ensure that this valuable heritage is not lost and remains accessible to future generations.
The project also highlights the importance of intergenerational dialogue, bringing together older and younger people to exchange knowledge, experiences, and perspectives. In doing so, we strengthen cultural continuity and encourage active participation in preserving our collective heritage.
Every story told and every tradition recorded helps strengthen our shared European identity while celebrating the diversity that makes our cultures unique.
EUfolk helps reserve the past, connect the present, and inspire the future!
